We are here to promote awareness of the changes to digital (Internet) based landlines so you are prepared and ready. We collate useful public information from providers and various stakeholders that we then share over social media and here on our website. We may comment or share this information with you over social media which we hope will point you in the right direction to get the help and support you need. We will never ask for personal information and we are not involved in policy making.
Raising Concerns about move to Digital Landlines
Each provider is handling their own customer migration to Digital Landlines. However, OFCOM has stipulated to providers that certain steps should be taken when migrating you to their digital landline based voice service. These include:
- Letting you know when you’re being migrated.
- Making you are aware of how to make emergency calls when there’s a powercut and offering solutions to allow you to do so.
- Making you aware that certain devices such as security alarms and care alarms may need to be updated by the providers of such devices for them to be compatible with a digital landline.
If you have any questions, concerns or complaints then this should be raised to your provider.
Other procedures to raise complaints are detailed at: https://www.ofcom.org.uk/phones-telecoms-and-internet/advice-for-consumers/problems/problem-with-your-phone-provider
